Non-Fouling Surfaces - Sharklet AF (TM)

A non-toxic microengineered surface that is resistant to biofouling by bacteria and algae for diverse applications including marine vessels, desalinization plants and medical implants. Research is described in a number of journal articles, US Patent No. 7,143,709 and continues to be developed in the Brennan Research Group.

• Shaklet Technologies, LLC, is commercializing this technology for medical and marine applications.
